Great service. Salsa bar so you can pick what kind of salsa you want. Taco salads were special of the day. I ordered shredded beef. Yummmmmmm. Beef tender. Lettuce fresh. Had beans and rice. Shell was light and crispy and not oily. Best taco salad I've ever had. Wish I'd taken a picture before I devoured it. My waiter was Orlando. He took good care of us. Thanks

They have very new and nice tables and booths. Free chips and a salsa bar. Salsa bar is a cool idea. Especially if you like hot salsa. Four of the six salsas were hot. One didn't have a label. The one labeled mild was nearly empty and wasn't refilled when we were there. There was a very beautiful, well-stocked bar in the corner. The menu was nice and easy to read with a couple beautiful pictures of yummy food. I was very excited and hungry for my dinner to arrive. Suprisingly, I did not have to wait very long. Our food came out exceptionally quickly. Which more concerned me than delighted me. Unfortunately, the food was very very bland. I ordered the "3 amigos enchiladas". The chicken wasn't seasoned at all. The refried beans were okay at best. The rice had no flavor at all. My wife ordered a cheese quesadilla. She said it was tasty. Personally, really disappointing overall. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but I seriously doubt we'll go back. I would suggest that they season the food more. Refill the salsa bar more often. A chip warmer would be a nice touch. Some taco sauce, hot sauce or similar condiments on the table would have been appreciated.

Cinco de mayo falls on the same day every year and you would think any Mexican restaurant would be ready for this big day. Not Margaritas... Yes, it was busy. Yes, this is the busiest celebration for Mexican restaurants. Yes,they are a new restaurant. I get it.. I waited 25 minutes behind 8 people at the door who were also waiting for the hostess. No greeting or organization with reservations. People who had reservations were never sat. I walked out and went somewhere else. Unacceptable service if you ask me. This place did not leave a good impression on me. I will try going back and hopefully I'll have a better experience.

Omg food was freaking amazing. Chips and beans are brought to your table upon arrival. Then you can help yourself to there salsa bar (I believe there is 7 different kinds, mine being the bright green one, lol) Our server Jose was phenomenal and very entertaining. My son loved his sense of humor. I will admit he wasn't aware of any of their specials for the day. Today being Tuesday so it was Happy Hour from 3-6pm $2Drafts, $3Wells, $4Wines, 5 crispy tacos for $6.50 and kids eat free according to Facebook. Nonetheless Jose took care of us in the end!!! Thanks for everything, we'll definitely return and Merry Christmas.

Nice people, decent atmosphere... The food, not so much. Salsa tasted like it was out of the can, we got the five taco for five dollar Tuesday special, but the taco meat tasted like it wasn't seasoned that all.

Had the 3 Chicken taco dinner. Pretty good. Not seasoned much. There is a Salsa bar so I guess you're supposed to use it to spice tings up to your own liking. The 3 Salsas I tried were good. Only about 4 tables when I was there just before closing. Good service, cold beer.

First impressions are first impressions, theirs was not good for me. We came in the side door, which might be a mistake. There's a strange area of nothing in the middle of this place that leads to the bar, where we sat down. The bar was dirty and had ants crawling all over some liquid that was on it, of course this is exactly where I sat down. I had to ask the fella behind the bar to wipe it down and dry it off too. The entire bar area was quite nasty with dirt, finger prints, exposed wires, and it generally run down. That part of the restaurant needs a major over hauling. The other thing about the bar is that is isolated to the rear of the place and seems totally disconnected. Nice TV though. Anyway...my 2 beers were both flat. I also saw a waiter open a wine bottle using the same knife that was used to cut out a piece of lime for my beer. Not good. So besides all that, the food wasn't bad. I had the Chicken Quesadilla Especial, which tasted pretty good. It came with a small amount of guacamole, sour cream, and lettuce. It was cheap enough and between that and 2 beers I was stuffed. They give you a basket of so-so tortilla chips along with bean and cheese sauce. The sauce was not worth it to me. I wondered over to the small salsa bar to get something that really goes with tortilla chips. I think there was around 8 different offerings there ranging from mild to several different types of hot. The salsa was good...was it house made, I can't tell ya. Everybody was friendly enough, but I doubt I'll go back considering there are so many other Mexican places around town that are much better. To each his own as they say....

We have been wanting to stop in but often we are afraid to go off the beaten path but reviews seemed promising. I am glad we did, it was excellent. First off let me say all the food was fresh, properly portioned, and authentic. The service was refreshing, not over the top but appropriate. Decor nothing to brag about really just relaxed atmosphere. Booth and table seating with a small bar. I had the stuffed Pablano, wife had Chimi, son had Chix Quesadea. In all cases the chicken was shredded. As mentioned before all very fresh and flavorful. This is probably one of the better Mexican restaurants we have visited and we have visited most. We will no doubt be back.

Best Mexican I've had in Fort Myers - the salsa bar is a bonus as is the table side guacamole. Very clean and our server was very attentive. I'm not used to having a shortage of good Mexican food so this gem was a nice surprise and one that deserves checking out!

Very good Mexican. Will be back. Liked the salsa bar concept. My chile rellenos was good...not quite up to Cantina Laredo but it was more modest in style.

We went for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the lunch portion fajitas which was huge with plenty of meat. My husband had the beef chimichanga which ended up being both of our favorites. The Restaurant was very clean and our server was friendly. The only complaint I have is the bathrooms did not have a diaper changing table. we will most definitely be coming back.

Las margaritas was pretty legit in my book asd far as mexican restaurants in southwest florida go. The staff was warm and friendly. I was sold when I ordered a tamale, and it was smothered in mole sauce. I have not had a mole sauce so zesty and flavorful since I left southern california. To wash down my tamale I ordered a coronarita, and even though there was a technical difficulty where my corona did not properly flow into the margarita mix as I was drinking it, so I was left with a copa of corona. They were kind enough to top me off with more margarita mix to ensure I had the true coronorita experience.

This is a decent new restaurant in Fort Myers. My wife and I tried it for the first time. They were clearly understaffed in both the dining room and kitchen which had a direct effect on the food quality which was just ok. My wife's burrito was very good and flavorful. My taco, enchilada , & chili relleno was mediocre at best. My plate had clearly sat in the kitchen window for quite a while as it was lukewarm when it arrived and drowning in its own grease. The wait time for our food was very long due to understaffing and two large parties in the dining room. I will give this restaurant a second shot as it is fairly new and we appeared to catch them on a day where they were understaffed.

After checking out the bigger Mexican restaurants in the area including señor tequilas and iguana mia, I have to admit that las margaritas is easily the best Mexican food in fort Myers. Would recommend to anybody interested in Mexican cuisine.

A cut above most Mexican restaurants. Fresh, delicate and creative food. Conscientious but not cloying service. Bright, open environment. They could ditch the TVs tho. Even the complimentary chips and dip are special. Not last week's watery salsa. A warm velvety white bean dip is accompanied by gossamer tortilla chips. A salsa bar allows you to select from 7 or 8 types and heat levels to have with the dinner. I had a veg quesadilla that was super fresh and flavorful. The tortilla was light and fresh, so unlike the doughy slabs in other places. Hubs chicken compera was also super fresh and pretty. The chef had taken trouble to flash saute the spinach so it glowed on the plate. The refried beans were nothing like the usual grout. A bit heavy on salt tho. Attentive, friendly service. Only 4 months old, I wish this place great success.

The food was AMAZING! We had the lunch Texas fajitas, customized our way. Everything was delicious! I'm VERY picky about Mexican food and this place nailed it! Service was awesome, and the place was clean as well. I can't wait to come back!!

This was my first time going and my boyfriends 2nd time. The decor and atmosphere was very nice. I liked that they had the different salad selections to choose from. I had the "not hot" red salsa and he had the hot red salsa (very spicy). I ordered the lunch steak chimichanga and he had the lunch chicken quesadilla. When the food came out my dish was a big serving size and the size of my chimichanga was just perfect for a lunch meal. However the chicken quesadilla was so small he ate his meal in less than 5 minutes. I ended up sharing my meal with him since eating half my chimichanga with rice and beans filled me up. The price for that lunch quesadilla is a rip off. They need to make a larger portion. The flavors were definitely on point! I would go back and try different items on the menu.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
